I was looking threw the older video's on the Project Melee Youtube page and I noticed that there used to be character demonstrations. With the constant announcements as of late I was wondering if there is a chance we might see demonstrations for the remaining cast of characters?

My brother is my training partner, he's a Samus main and he has given the game his all for the last 2 years. His interest in the game has slowly diminished (loosing him to league :'( ). I would love to show him some Samus Back room so please help me. I'm loosing my training partner and an excellent way to bond.

Unfortunately, we can't demonstrate anything for a character that isnt released yet.

Samus isn't at a level of which we feel comfortable displaying ie finished.

I wouldnt call it that since it's common knowledge that any character that isnt on the roster isnt finished.

I'm sorry for your lose, dude. I played LoL for two years and quit earlier this year (**** that game). I am beyond thrilled that not only is Project M getting better and more played, but the tournament scene out here in Vegas is coming back a bit for Smash. Even when I played stupid LoL I knew deep down "Smash is love; Smash is life." Never forget those words. If your brother is smart, he'll quit LoL before their overly toxic community overwhelms him with anger and frustration, as it did to me.

**** League of Legends, StarCraft 2 is the best. The sad part if Nintendo didn't **** up on the wifi mode we wouldn't have this problem. I feel your pain dude, my siblings would rather play pc games and all my friends refuse to play any smash bros game with me because they say I am "stupid good" at the game. One thing you can try is joining smogon and playing pokemon over wifi, that's always pretty fun, but if you really want to play pm with others than I suggest you get a drivers license, that sure helped me out.

Neko, some people freak out over Samus' absence and come to the false conclusions. Not everyone frequents the P:M social board, or even smashboards for that matter. Knowing the truth as to why a character isn't present would help this mod's reputation.

For instance, from what I've gathered from casual remarks, no one is putting effort into Olimar. I can't believe this to be true, but without some form of announcements that Algon mentioned in the op, I have no evidence to go on besides those casual remarks.

For mods, progress is life. If the public can't see progress, then they can safely (but perhaps not rightly) assume that the mod isn't healthy or has already died due to the vast amount of dead mods out there.

Character demonstrations were from another era of development where we had a year where things were mostly dark. These days, you can know that we're working to finish every Brawl character left undone, and any formal news on their development would most likely come in the form of an announcement in regards to the next demo.
