Looks like we've got a new badguy, and this time I reckon he could be playable.
Master Hand was unfeasbile. But this guy...

No idea what his moveset could be, but I say his chances are good.

I think it's about time we saw some Smash Bros. originals playable. This guy's too important to just be an AT, and I don't think they'd have a character that was just in adventure mode and nothing else... seems like a waste.

In any case, he's pretty cool. I'd be interesting to play a fully flying/hovering character like this. And if you only fight him... Well, it's time to get a Gameshark or Action Replay then. =P

Remember this is Adventure mode, not classic Mode, i bet the Hands are still the last boss in Classic.

I don't think this guy is the main bad guy.

This guy might be commanding the Subspace Army, but i think that it's Master Hand pulling the ropes on this guy.

I see one of two explanations for the Ancient Minister.

-He's independent of the Hands, and wants to destroy the universe for some unexplained reason.

-Crazy Hand is secretly controlling the Minister, because CH wants to make the destruction of the universe "fun". Master Hand can't interfere with this for whatever reason, so it's up to the Smashers to stop the Subspace Army and subsequently CH.

is it you have to save both princesses from petey and swallow the bomb or just beat petey and leave the stadium while beating the robots maybe with computer controlled princesses proabally not

I have a feeling that isn't really the Ministers true form. I think that just may be a robotic body he uses to get around. I have a feeling he may shed that shell when it's time to fight him.

I was thinking the exact same thing O_O

MR.WIGZ, what makes you think that every character has their own storyline? I was under the assumption that there was one long, continuous storyline and that the game would make you be certain characters at certain points in the game. Perhaps it'll let you choose (like playing Kirby OR Mario to beat down the Primids), but there would be a whole lot of specific cut scenes to make with all the characters that we plan on being in the game if you could use ANYONE to play through the whole thing.

Anyway, back on topic, I thought those things on the side of his body might be his hands. You know, those little reddish wing lookin' things? Maybe not...also, it'd be nice to have him be playable at some point, but Melee didn't let us play as Gigabowser, and we still don't know if we'll be able to play as the Hands in Brawl...so it'd be a little unprecedented.

you bring up a good point, i figured the trailer would revolv around kirby's storyline because sakurai did create kirby, metanight is a boss in kirby games(it was the halberd), and he was the only one untouched

I just figured that some of the screen shots they showed us from the cut scenes seemed a bit specific. But then again, having the whole mode segmented for each character makes sense too. Like...each character could get a part of the story and have cut scenes that revolve around them (I'm most curious about the one Pit and the one with Zamus in them). That'd pretty much give every character their own short storyline.

Matter of perspective I guess.

But I reckon that they knocked Mario out so that he would then be in another "world" to move along that part of the story. Is a decent plot device, methinks =3
