Analysis of Possible Brawl Characters

I have observed many character ideas passed around for months on this forum. Some are interesting. Some are obvious. Others are just plain ridiculous. So, I've made this thread to help isolate the pros and cons of having certain characters in brawl. This thread will also might help to spread some awareness for those great characters few know about.

Analysis of Minion Characters
Some character suggestions are minions, which have no unique identity. Since the Smash Bros series has not yet included a 'nameless goomba' or such, I'll try my best to find unique characters to represent them.​

Boo : Lady Bow
Mario's only Boo ally so far in the Paper Mario series. Bow captures the star spirit Skolar, and then makes Mario defeat the "invincible" Tubba Blubba before she gives him up. Then, she joins Mario's party and can use her fan to beat the stuffing out of enemies.

PROS: She can use all the typical abilities, plus a little more. It'd also be nice to see someone who utilizes a weapon other than a sword or hammer.
CONS: She doesn't seem to be a popular enough character or very unique. Did make a cameo appearance in Paper Mario 2, though.
MY THOUGHTS: She'd be a preferable character, but more likely she'd end up as an Assist Trophy. There aren't any ghost characters in brawl, but Bow wouldn't be a bad place to start.

Lakitu : Lakithunder
Probably the best representitive for the Lakitus, Lakithunder is one of the harder bosses of New Super Mario Bros. He is similar to other lakitus, except that he is slightly different with a black shell and a dark storm cloud to ride on. It is very likely that he is the one that attacks Mushroom Kingdom in the intro sequence of New Super Mario Bros.

PROS: If he uses all of the different Lakitu abilities (such as lightning bolts and throwing spinies), he could be an interesting character.
CONS: He is a minor boss of the Mario Series, and deserves to be in far less than most other characters.
MY THOUGHTS: Quite simply, if anything, he'd be an Assist Trophy.

Lakitu : Lakilester
Another possible representitive for the Lakitus. Lakilester is the last ally Mario gets in Paper Mario, and the second he has to battle (with Bowser being the first) before then. He tries to be as cool as possible, and even changed his name several times.

PROS: Combining Lakitu abilities with abilities such as the Cloud Nine move, Lakilester could be a great character.
CONS: Lakitus haven't fought physically in the Mario games, so finding non-B moves for him would take some work.
MY THOUGHTS: Unfortunately the same as Lakithunder. If anything, he'd be an Assist Trophy.

Since so many characters have been suggested, there is no way I could do it all in one post and keep people's attention. Instead, I'll post characters every now and then. Post whatever criticism or comments or whatever you like, this is a free forum.

Analysis of Obvious Characters

Some character suggestions are obvious, which already are quite well known and are very likely to end up in Brawl anyway. But, since their so well known, it doesn't hurt to repeat why they could be in brawl for the billionth time!

!?♪/Geno
Geno for brawl. Seriously though, !?♪ is a Star Warrior from the Star Road/Haven. After possessing a doll named Geno, he joins Mario to find the seven stars to save the world from the master machine Smithy. In the end, !?♪ de-possesses Geno turning it back into a doll.

PROS: A kick-butt doll armed with machine guns, fist rockets, star cannons, flash blasts, the Geno Whirl... Need I go on?
CONS: If Geno had many Cons, there wouldn't be so many supporters! I can't think of very many.
MY THOUGHTS: She'd be a preferable character, but more likely she'd end up as an Assist Trophy. There aren't any ghost characters in brawl, but Bow wouldn't be a bad place to start.

Miles "Tails" Prower
An 8 year old (kistune?) with 200 IQ, it seems like Tails has shown up wherever Sonic is. Tails is just as fast as Sonic (atleast until sometime after Sonic 3 & Knuckles), but for a strange reason, Tails requires the use of 7 Super Chaos Emeralds just to become Super Tails (whereas Sonic and Knuckles would become Hyper), which is pretty odd...

PROS: Essentially Sonic except with brains and the ability to fly. Atleast he used to be.
CONS: Tails would be too similar to Sonic in his moveset, but otherwise, not much.
MY THOUGHTS: Sakurai should give Tails the Super Chaos Emeralds and find some villain that can make Tails a villain. Then have him fight Super Sonic.

Ridley
Second only to the Mother Brain, Ridley is the giant Dragon-like leader of the Space Pirates. He has a unique ability to survive being killed by Samus and then showing up fully able to fight again in a later game. Yep, real typical.

PROS: Despite being in nearly every ancient-medieval era game, Dragons have yet to be represented in Smash Bros. Ridley probably be the best choice.
CONS: Kind of large and spindley for a character. Could still work out though.
MY THOUGHTS: A good way to add Ridley is to have Ridley a faster Bowser clone/costume, possibly with flight. Their moves are about the same.

You do realize that this comment is going to annoy the hell out of Ridley fans, right? Beware of their flamey anger. It's scary.

Your Ridley analysis is terrible! Ridley could never be an alternate costume for Bowser, they fight completely differently. That's just a terrible idea.

You also copy-pasted Geno's from Lady Bow and forgot to change.
