Analog Stick Replacement

I looking for a way to replace the analog stick for my gamecube controller, and not just the gray stick part, but the actual mechanism under it. As the controllers have been used for a long time the analog stick is far too loose, and I need to tighten or replace it. Any one know how this is done?

I can't replace the entire board inside the controller either, because the controllers in question have unique tips (the part that plugs into the console). So I need to either switch the stick part or figure out how to switch the tip to a new cord. Advice anyone? Thanks.

They're imported controllers. Three to be exact. Any body have any real advice?

The tip needs to match the controller BTW. Thats why I need to keep the tip.
