Seriously. I mean it!
That one rhymed more than ever!

Infernape [INFURNACE] @Life Orb SHINY
Blaze
Jolly Nature
252 ATK/ 252 SPD/ 6 HP

-Thunder Punch
-Close Combat
-Flare Blitz
-U-turn

Can work as a lead with his high speeds and good coverage if i feel it possible. And if it doesn't like what's coming out, it can U-turn out with ease.

Gyarados [GERADON] @Sitrus Berry
Intimidate
Adamant Nature
252 ATK/ 252 SPD/ 6 HP

-Dragon Dance
-Earthquake
-Aqua Tail
-Ice Fang

Also a possiblity as a lead due to intimidate and his sheer ferocity (overstatement?) sometimes forcing switches, and a free ddance is always welcome.

Tangrowth [TANGENT] @Leftovers SHINY
Chlorophyll
Impish Nature
238 HP/ 252 DE/ 16 AT/ 4 SP

-Sleep Powder
-Leech Seed
-Power Whip
-Knock Off

The physical wall, of course. Sleep Powder being one of the best sleeping solutions in the game, it works to buy tangrowth time to set up and knock off *let's not forget the forced switch

Bronzong [BETANDROSS] @Leftovers
Levitate
Sassy Nature
252 HP/ 200 SD/ 58 DE

-Stealth Rock
-Light Screen
-Hypnosis
-Gyro Ball

Is a nice switch in for a lot of the weaknesses on the rest of my teamates. Buys time with hypnosis and sets up SR/ Light Screen.

Porygon-Z [SOLANUM] @Choice Scarf
Download or Adaptability?
Modest Nature
252 SA/ 216 SP/ 42 HP

-Tri-Attack
-Discharge
-Ice Beam
-Psychic

Self explanatory. the Speed EVs plus the scarf set it a notch above adamant CS Heracross. Which is mainly what psychic is for.

Gengar [KARNAGORE] @Choice Specs SHINY
Levitate
Timid Nature
252 SA/ 252 SPD/ 6 HP

-Hidden Power Fighting
-Thunderbolt
-Shadow Ball
-Energy ball

Likes to switch in and out quickly, do some horrid damage and flee to an appropriate counter. DON'T suggest hypnosis...it works just fine with the specs.

As far as weakness go, this is what i came up with.

Water (Infernape)
Gyara can walk into waters unless they have electric, and Tangrowth works without Ice. Bronzong is a possiblity as well on surfs.

Ground (Infernape)
Three of my pokes are immune to ground and my physical wall resists eq. Enough said. (Gyara also carries ice fang for ground STAB users)

Psychic (Infernape, Gengar)

Bronzong resist psychic to the point of insanity.

Flying (Infernape, Tangrowth)

Not too bothersome anyway. Bronzong Resists.

Electirc (Gyara)
Tangrowth eats up electic, however thunderbolts are not so nice and are usually paired with ice, so i guess that leaves bronzong.

Rock (Gyara)
Bronzong Resists.

Fire (Tangrowth, Bronzong)
Gyara is really comfy with fire, plus EQ and Waterfall. Infernape to some extent.

Ghost (Gengar)
Porygon-Z is immune.

Dark (Gengar)
Infernape does resist, but he's still not comfy with it. Bronzong or Tangrowth work.

Bug (Tangrowth)
Gengar super resists it, and infernape and gyara do as well. Bronzong is a nice swithc in for hera, or PZ if it gets the chance.

Fighting (Porygon-Z)

Gengar is immune, and Gyara is comfortable as well. Tangrowth Or bronzong are nice too.

that's about it.
Any suggestions/criticisms/other nonsense?

I'm open to anything.

Download has a chance of raising your Attack, which is the stat you won't be using. Adaptability increases your STAB's base power. It's up to you.

For infernape, I prefer a mixed sweeper set because it destroys almost every wall (with the notable exception of Cresselia). With grass knot (or perhaps energy ball), close combat, flamethrower, and nasty plot, it can get a guaranteed 1hko on blissey, skarmory, and forretress, and 2hkos Swamper and Donphan with full HP and Sp. Def EVs.

That, and I really hate life orb + flare blitz.

Gyarados has good type coverage, but without taunt, hes vulnerable to phazers.

Definitely adaptability on PorygonZ, which makes tri attack hurt so much more.

You kind of have a bronzong weakness, because the only thing that can really take it out would he 1hko'd by earthquake. Just thought I'd point that out.

hm. ok.

thanks for the info folks.
I realize i do have a slight bronzong weakness, which sucks.
However, Gyara does resist Gyro Ball and is immune to earthquake. Psychic won't do a whole lot...

I updated a few things. Check it out you will, yes?

you know, it's funny how everybody's said something but NO ONE actually gave it a rating.
I'm willing to accept the harsh words!

it's not like this is finalized yet, so i'm hoping for some more opinions before i do.

when i looked at it however, i noticed some interesting facts...

half of the team is shiny.

I have two physical sweepers, one physical wall, followed by two special sweepers, and one special wall.

As far as the nicknames go, two of them are actual words (Tangent and Solanum), two of them are puns (Infurnace and Karnagore [Carnavore with a K and "gore" instead of "vore"]), and two of them are completely made up(Geradon, Betandross).

Once again, what's the word folks?

Infernape isn't an awesome lead, due to most others being Gengar, weavile, and swampert, so stick with gyarados

Gyarados [GERADON] @Sitrus Berry
Intimidate
Adamant Nature
252 ATK/ 252 SPD/ 6 HP

-Dragon Dance
-Earthquake
-Aqua Tail
-Ice Fang

Also a possiblity as a lead due to intimidate and his sheer ferocity (overstatement?) sometimes forcing switches, and a free ddance is always welcome.

Fine, but AT is gonna screw u over one day with its accuracy

Tangrowth [TANGENT] @Leftovers SHINY

The switch isn't going to be forced if u just slept my CB Heracross with Sleep Talk that will guarantee the OHKO on u if it gets Megahorn

Bronzong [BETANDROSS] @Leftovers

thanks guys. I can take 4 out of 5 =)

how many points were taken off for unoriginality? haha...

i can't help it if most of my pokes are OU! lol...

infernape's my buddy starter, Gyara has been the best since RBY, tangrowth is semi unique at least, gengar is my old school pal as well, bronzong is there for the resistances, and porygon cause i needed another special sweep.

there.

anything else, dearest SWF members? Suggestions?

:yoshi: Porygon-Z. It's a mix of beauty, elegance, and weird cyber-duck-thing-ness.

So you're running Choice Scarf Porygon-Z with a modest nature. What you might want to do is to switch your speed and special attack EVs around. Choice Scarf is either strictly for sweeping (Azelf, Starmie, etc.) or for revenge KOs (Heracross, Medicham, etc.). Now, how do you decide which role Porygon-Z fits? Well, considering his base speed, high base special attack, and pretty reckless movepool (why can't he learn Flamethrower? :_: ), you can deduce that you're best off with sweeping. One rule of an offensive pkmn is that hitting harder makes no difference if you can't hit first--just look at how people justify Infernape's use over Blaziken. I would go so far as to recommend a Timid nature. Now, you may be asking, with the reduced special attack EVs and a non-boosting nature, "How can I expect Porygon-Z to OHKO or even attempt at sweep?!" Well, the answer is in your ability.

Download or Adaptability. That's the tough choice for a lot of people wanting to use Porygon-Z. At face value, Adaptability seems to be the better ability. In truth, neither of them is better than the other. They both have their exclusive niche in Porygon-Z's game.

Adaptibility was MADE for conjunction with Life Orb, Expert Belt, or a Porygon-Z spread otherwise able to use Nasty Plot. That way, he can max out his speed without a scarf, come in without worry of which stat will be boosted, and then Nasty Plot on a switch (you should mainly be using flexible spreads like this to force switches). From there, you try your best to clean house, using Adaptability when necessary (i.e., you're unable to hit for super effective damage for some reason) or on Blissey.

Download was created SPECIFICALLY for choice itemed Porygon-Z. With either choice item (specs or a scarf), you can lead with him, if you like (since many leads unwittingly have a lower special defense), or bring him in on something with, of course, low special defense. At this point, forcing a switch isn't necessary since you've already received your stat boost and, chances are, you're faster than what's on the field if you're wearing a scarf. This somewhat makes up for not being able to use Nasty Plot, especially since all attacks get boosted with Download--not just Tri Attack. While it could also be cute to run Charge Beam for the boosts, I don't recommend it since not only does it stand a very small chance of KOing anything, you also give Garchump a free switch-in, and nobody needs that. Not to mention switching makes you lose that lovely boost. Download is also handy for mixed Porygon-Z players who like to catch Blissey off guard with a more attack-oriented spread and Return (no choice item, obviously).

As for the moveset, I would drop Psychic or Discharge for Dark Pulse. The thing about using choice items is that if you have a certain move whose typing is resisted by others in the form of immunity, you're basically done. Just something to consider. Now, this is the point where I'd usually drop a spread I think would work for the team in particular, but since your roles are more defined in an individual sense instead of a team-based sense, only you can know what you want and expect out of your Porygon-Z.

Hope that helped.

That, actually, may have been the most enlightening and incredibly accurate statement anybody has made in a long time, for me at least.

you're actually dead on with a lot of it, it's like you read my friggin mind.

the whole individual thing was dead center, and i did end up picking download before i read this =)

and the immunities on choice set rant was actually convincing as well, and i was considering dark pulse. maybe.

you've definitely earned my reshhhpect. haha!

what's your porygon set look like anyway? just curious..

:yoshi: I run both a freeform set (Life Orb) and a Choice Specs set that I'm considering replacing with a scarf.

Dark Pulse is for the win, my friend. And I hate using that phrase. Yes, the move is that good.

Both sets have Tri Attack, but I do suggest experimenting with Hyper Beam. You would honestly be surprised at what you can OHKO and what can't revenge KO you afterwards. Nasty Plot is a necessity on the freeform set, and Ice Beam follows naturally on the choice set, since it's one of the game's better attacking types. Also among one of the game's better attacking types is bug and Porygon-Z gets Signal Beam. Even though it's kinda weak, it is worth a mention.

And this is all just talking straight offense. We haven't even talked about using Agility yet, hahahaha!

Anyway, yeah, I'm done. I just saw Porygon-Z and thought I'd drop a few words.
