Hey all, I don't normally play as Lucas, but I discovered something pretty cool while speedrunning btt and figured I'd share it here. When sliding on ice, if you use upb and immediately roll the control stick in the direction in which you're sliding, Lucas can pull off a pkt2 in only a few frames in the reverse direction. I don't think this would help in tourneys unless someone can find a way to pull it off without ice, but it's still a neat trick that might lead to other tactics in the future. Any thoughts?

How similar is it? Same idea, right? You run off the ice and get a very fast PKT2?

I think he's just running on the ice and going backwards by doing a half circle towards where he's going with he PKT, as opposed to the thunderslide. He's not actually running offstage at all.

At top speed running on ice you'll actually hit yourself straight down rather than backwards. It's actually pretty sweet cuz you'll keep sliding while on your back and when you fall off the edge you'll be able to do aerials like normal. Mindgames or something. Not that it matters because nobody plays Summit.

You could also possibly use this for the Pokemon Stadium when it turns to the ice stage. You could possibly experiment with the conveyor belt stage, too.
