An idea for SSB Wii U / 3DS Customization which involves Mii's

Okay, so Sakurai has stated that there that there will be a higher level of customization in the Wii U / 3DS SSB games. This excites me, a lot.

So much so, that I have an idea for how Sakurai and his team could do customization. I honestly don't think this will be in the final games, but it would be really cool to have.

First of all, you would link a Mii to a name created with the Name Entry, and the Mii would always be there in the character selection menu. However, when you change your name and select the Mii character, the Mii changes according to which Name you have chosen. If you don't chose a name and pick the Mii character, then you would quickly chose a Mii to use and select a move set form a list (slow/powerful, fast/weak, floaty, etc).

In order to FULLY customize your Mii, you would have to go to the Name Entry menu. Here you can create a name or click on a existing name and chose a "Customize Mii" option.

From here, you can:

- Select which Mii to use
- Have a slider bar for the characters weight
- Chose what your Mii wears
Then:
- Fully customize your moveset by selecting each button input and choosing what that input does.
You can chose moves that were made for the Mii OR, MAYBE, you could select moves from OTHER CHARACTERS in the game.
Now, this creates the problem that it would be possible to create ridiculously OP characters. Also, you could only select moves according to your Mii's weight class.

You could also share your Mii's online for other people worldwide to try out, and there could be some sort of online tier list with all the Mii's shared online. Not sure how the ranking of the Mii's would work.

Of course, this is just an idea, and there are most likely a dozen more problems with this that I haven't thought about. Also, I doubt that the customization in the final games will be on this level of detail and I doubt that Mii's will even be in the game.

Of course, it would be pretty cool to see, but it would be very unlikely that this is in the game.

If you have any suggestions or criticism for this idea then please say.

Thanks for reading :bee:

Why does everyone assume mii's just due to the word customization? and why would sakurai put bland fisher price toy avatars along with the great cast they can be in ssb4 in the background clapping their non existent hands. Due to the outcry for miis they sadly have a high chance of appearing which is disturbing and a waste.

Well, Wii Fit Trainer is blander than a rock, and she got in and was given personality. Honestly, if Miis get in, I won't have a problem with that.

A fitness trainer is more bland than a mii who has no personality traits at all. There is no one universal representation of miis.

But isn't that the point? You put yourself or someone/thing you like in the battle. The only problem would be inappropriate Miis but you could simply make Miis unable to play online. Then again if they don't appear I won't cry over it.

I think Miis are the perfect customization character, their size quite perfect for balance. They can be really average characters like Mario, only you get better tools and movres as you unlock them.

The default Mii look is actually in my signature. At least the male version.

Seriously. The Wii era of Nintendo will be getting attention in this Smash. That's only natural. The Mii's were a big part of this. They'll be in Smash some way. Somehow. Even if they're not a playable character.

I agree they are perfect to be in the crowd cheering clapping their non existent hands.
