Subject: Webform: Wii > General Questions / Feedback

Hello, nintendo, i would like to ask a few questions about the upcoming
title Super Smash Bros Brawl'
1. Will the game feature an online rankings system?
2. Will Nintendo release an demo through a subsciption of Nintendo
Power?
3. Is is possible to include an optional headset for the game?
I know you guys are working hard and may not be able to reply to these
questions, but if at all possible, could you get Sakurai to reply?
Thank you for your valuable time.

reply:
Hello and thank you for contacting Nintendo,

We have not announced any online ranking or a headset for the upcoming
Super Smash Brothers Brawl game at this time. If that ever changes in
the future, we'll be sure to post the information on our website at
www.nintendo.com.

Also, at this time, we don't have any plans to offer a game demo of
Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Typically, game demos are released to
familiarize players with a game they hadn't heard of and encourage them to buy
it. I think you'll agree that's really not the case with Super Smash
Bros. Brawl!

If, however, a demo is made available in the future, we'll be sure to
post the news to Nintendo's official Super Smash Bros. Brawl website.
I've included a direct link to it below:

Sincerely,

Nintendo of America Inc.
Dervin Camden

Nintendo hasn't ANNOUNCED a headet and online rankings YET, but they say there IS NO PLANS for a demo, theres a difference

What i think abot the demo, they could be lying.
If they hadn't told the public, why would thery tell a random person who just sent then an e-mail?(No Offense!)

nintendo wouldnt make people to pay to get in E for All(it costed around $100 to get in for 4 days)if they were releasing one for free, or even if they made them pay $10-20 for the demo

Every single answer they give you about an upcoming game will never be a confirmation or a deconfirmation. It'll just be a generic, "LOL WHO KNOWS???" or "At this time, no." It's to save their own *****, as well as avoid outright saying, "No, stop asking us questions."

No good news here.

i loled when you specifically asked for Sakurai as if he would answer your e-mail.
and1. Of cource a demo will be released, just not a public one (thos EB games/Target/Walmart demo's)
2.Just because he said it hasnt been announced doesnt mean it will, be announced
3.This answer is anything like "good news" as it bashes a demo and leaves a headset and rankings foggy (even though rankings have been announced not in)and
4.You are not special and this E-mail is most likely sent automatically to the thousands of fans e-mailing nintendo things like this(just like theres an emial for character specualtion, pettions ect.)

A nice try, asking for Sakurai to reply to you ;)

I wouldn't start speculating if there was a ranking system or a headset coming after all. This is just regular corporal handling of things, not to reveal details too soon to anyone.

I've seen this exact statement, WORD FOR WORD, on another topic.

It could be an automated message...

think about this.
If your movie was popular, and you were making the sequel with a big plot twist.
A guy forsses this, and sends you an e-mail asking about it.
Would you tell him, "Yes, it happens", and let him leak it?
Or would tell him "NO!"

Um i said announced NOT in right in this paragraph

Masahiro Sakurai(or his internet geeks) said:
Your opponent will not know your name or any information about you, and neither of you can send short messages. There will also be no battle records kept for this mode, so whether you win or lose, it doesn’t matter. Just sit back and play.

yes, but that was BEFORE the delay, so it could happen, since they said the delay was for online play
