Smash Rookie
Howdy there Smash Boards! I decided to make an account so BAM here I am.
Here's a little backstory on the person that is me: I am a professional Graphic Designer, an avid collector, and a gamer for life. I have been playing Smash since its first release on 64, and got super into Melee with my friends during high school. I considered myself to be pretty good, but definitely not at a competitive level. I have very fond memories of playing Melee with my old friends. When Brawl came out I kind of stopped playing Smash, and my Wii sat there gathering dust. Since I am an huge collector of things I always had my old systems with me ready to play, so every now and then I would dust of the ol'gamecube and give Melee or Double Dash a go.
Cut to last October when I basically landed a dream job and decided to reward myself my purchasing a Wii U. Instantly fell in love all over again with Mariokart, Winderwaker HD (*drool), and all the other snazzy first party games the Wii U had to offer. Thank god I didn't have to use a Wiimote anymore, and settled in nicely with the Pro controller. I purchased Smash4 day one and hot damn did it that old flame get reignited. I recently even got a few of my new friends into it (1 had never touched a smash game before, blasphemous i know), and we have been having fun little matches for a few weeks now! Also finally managed to get a controller adaptor so I may play with the best Smash controller ever created once again.
So that's my "small" introduction! I look forward to scoping out all the threads this place has to offer!

N64: Ness (who could resist that bat?)
Melee: Marth or Jiggs
Brawl: Ice Climbers
Wii U: Rosalina & Luma or Captain Falcon
