By now, you all heard about that one Fox amiibo nearly taking down an entire tournament a few months back.
If not, here's the story: http://www.siliconera.com/2014/11/26/story-fox-amiibo-nearly-won-super-smash-bros-tournament/
The comments in that one article intrigues me, an Amiibo-only tournament. While it's like watching a **** fighter, I kinda favor the idea of betting on your trained, precious Amiibo against another trainer's Amiibo. While there isn't a wide selection of Amiibos, considering the first had just concluded, I'm positive this would be taken in consideration.
Moving on, I believe Mii Fighters should be given a chance to participate in those big-shot tournaments. While customization are avoided like the plague, having your Miis fight in the tournament feels like representing yourself in a large scale or representing other character who couldn't make it to Sm4sh. (COUGH, LUCAS)
What do you guys think? Amiibo tournaments and Mii Fighters are a bust or a win?
