Amiibo is like Pokémon! I'm interested.

I just watched the Nintendo Minute Live @ E3 on the Nintendo youtube channel. Which you can find here.

The first five minutes reminded me of Pokémon! At first, it didn't look interesting at all, but now that I look into it sounds somewhat amazing that players can have amiibo's with their own gameplay style.

Anything you guys like or dislike? Discuss.

If you get only Pokemon Amiibos than it is Pokemon! You can even play it like a console Pokemon RPG and pretend to be happy while waiting for Nintendo to make a home console Pokemon game.

Pokemon amiibos for a console Pokemon game (those pokemon games that are usually battle only related cept for the gamecube ones) would probably make skylanders and disney panic.

But might cost a lot of money to make 6XX amiibos. >_>;;

If you had only one generation in the game and used Amiibos of base pokemon for all that mon's forms, you would only need around 75 of them. Take legendaries and such out of the initial release and produce them later as either big prizes or new hype generators and you might actually have something viable.

I would hate it though due to it forcing figures in the way that Skylanders does.

I said the same thing dude! I'm totally hyped for it and so is my friend. I was worried they'd push the whole Amiibo thing, but it turns out they're completely optional, and they've given them a function that I'll actually want to buy a few for!

If they released a Pokemon game for the Wii U that used Pokemon Amiibos over the original 151 Pokemon, I would probably play it.

Assuming that evolutions were in game rather than external, that would require 80 figures but could also potentially allow for extras like Rhyperior, Pichu and Porygon-Z with no additional physical items.

but the more I think about it the more I realize I'll probably buy a samus one or something because of it's customization oriented nature it does have a pet like feel to it. If enough of my friends buy it we can hold amiibo tournaments, bet on who's amiibo is gonna win xD

But in reality the Amibos idea was interesting since the beginning because is THE NEXT GEN OF MEMORY CARD NOW FEATURE FIGURE OF YOURS FAVORITE CHARACTER OF SMASH AND TRAVEL ANYWHERE WITH A swag.

that mean I don't need to bring my Wii U for my character customize, I just bring my Amigo I mean Amibo. (Amigo means friends in Spanish and is very similar to Amibo... Am not forever alone anymore.)
