Amiibo feature?

We all know that the New 3ds has the new amiibo feature, but what about the feature for the 3ds/3ds xl/2ds models? II even heard that The NFC reader releases in summer, but I also heard that there can be a NFC reader hack for the 3ds. you need like a samsung galaxy to program the hack, but wll it work??? I mean, I really want a amiibo and use it, but I only have the 3ds (the first one). What do you think nintendo will plan to do these few months? and When do you think the release will be in the U.S.?

It makes sense to release it this summer, because a new wave of Smash amiibos are coming out then.

My bad, the next wave is actually coming out in spring (but amiibos like ROB and DH might come out in summer).
