So I got sm4sh today, raised a link to level 50 and then I put an item on...

'perfect shield damages opponents'

ok that sounds cool.

IT DOES 27% AND KO'S YOU AND THEY PERFECT SHIELD ALMOST EVERY ATTACK

Anyone know how to turn this off? It is impossible to play against now, every time I hit it, I just explode. Im really annoyed because I was having a lot of fun playing against it, now its stupid.

I've seen Amiibos that haven't been fed still have the power to rip people apart.

In fact i think those Amiibos were stronger...

Anyway, you can't turn off the extra abilities.

The amiibos get stronger as they learn, the thing is I played mostly on my Kirby amiibo alot to level up then it beat me so many times cause it knows what my attacks I'm about to make on. It basically copies your own move set to know what to do next.

The only way to get rid of this is to reset your amiibo, but I don't see the point in it when it's already trained to make a greater challenge to the player.

Amiibo can only learn three of these abilities, so if you teach him three other (less OP) abilities, the game will ask you which one to forget (just like pokemon.)

Hope that helps!

While you cannot turn off the abilities, it can only have 3 saved, and feeding it a 4th will allow you to choose which gets deleted. So theres an option. Otherwise, you will have to reset it to remove the effect(s). I hope this helped.

You think that's bad? I put Shield Exploder, Shield Reflector, and Shield Healer on my Robin amiibo. I'm not stupid enough to challenge all that crap... but I am regrettably stubborn. I know amiibo are just generic CPU with built-in attack and defense that increases as they level, so my Robin (named Inoue)... she does about 30% (depending on your custom fighter's stats) from one explosive shield stacked with Shield Reflector not to mention that Shield Healer heals her a bit too. Then I gave her specials that make her a more distant fighter.
