Amiibo "Chopped" Learning

Something I find really annoying is that my amiibo won't learn to do follow-ups, instead it will do one attack of the follow up I keep trying to grind into it.

For example, I've beaten dthrow into fair into my Samus like nobody's business, and it still just jumps and uses fair even when the opponent is on the ground.

Does anyone else find this really frusturating?

I kinda agree, the only time my Amiibos get kills is when they get those surprise hits in. Seriously those Zelda Amiibo kicks really hurt

Evidently this is a problem everyone's having. You know how hard Sakurai is trying to forget the existence of combos.

No matter what you do with your amiibo figures, they're not going to be flawless against the level 9 CPUs.
