Question: is it possible to connect an amiibo to a classic 3ds/xl using a 3ds skylanders portal?
This question was asked about a year ago with a no answer; but before the announcement of the Nintendo adapter and before an update in the game that allowed for the adapter to connect. As far as I know both are just ir nfc reader/writers but I could be mistaken.
As someone who does not have the money to upgrade to a *new 3ds this could be a cheaper alternative to buying the $20, hard to find (in my area) Nintendo adapter; for myself and others with a similar issue. Does anyone have a way of testing this method out or know of it would be a viable solution?
