Many of you Netbattlers know that that there is a function that allows you to change the moves and traits of any and all pokemon in the game for your server. Well, I'm glad to say that there is one completely modified metagame out there. Every single pokemon got at least 1 modification. I did not make this, but I played a small part, and I thought some people should know about this, especially since there are a lot of complaints about balance and such.
I can't give you a complete list or anything, but here are some examples of what this new metagame has:
Tangela, the coolest pokemon ever, now has Weather ball, effectively giving him a STABed, base 100 fire attack.
Magneton got levitate. No. It isn't overpowered.
Farfetch'd got Pure Power, the only thing that could save it.
Registeel is standard.
Metagross, Salamence, Suicune, Raikou, Blissey have all been severely weakened.
Skarmory has been slightly weakened. But wait! 3 previously NU pokemon now utterly **** Skarm and can quite possibly end up sweeping most of the opponent's team after beating him up. So yes, Skarmory is definately not standard anymore.
All of those Choice Band Birds (Pidgeot included) got beefed up.
There is a new, cool Special Attack Baton Passer.
Tyranitar has, well, lost the ability to Dragon Dance, has absolutely no electric attacks whatsoever, and, IIRC, does not have Sandstream, which was a blessing and a curse.
Pelliper's nickname is now Helliper. 'Nuff said.
And the rest, you'll have to find out yourself.
Yes, it's going to have some flaws at first, as it only came out a few days ago, and that's why testers will be needed.
Like I said, I just posted this up here because I know that many people hate the imbalances in the current metagame (I myself think that it is just a bit dry), and I thought that some of you would like to get a breath of fresh air.
... For some reason the exact name eludes me, but it's something along the lines of "Amazing Ampharos' mod server."
If you want to battle me, that is now the server I'm going to be on. Like I said, the real metagame is getting boring for me, and this is a real breath of fresh air. I'll be on as "Hungry" or something along those lines. Hope to see you there.
