Am I the only person who doesn't like Bowser's Final Smash?

I'm sorry if this belongs in some other thread, if so, please feel free to close this.

Bowser's Final Smash was confirmed today as the Giga Bowser Transformation. I have seen many people on SmashBoards who love it, and yet I, for one, think it's stupid. Yeah, Giga Bowser's cool. Yeah, it's cool that we can control him without an Action Replay. But the flaw:

- Giga Bowser was made up just for Melee, and in reality, has nothing to do with Bowser's character.

Many different Final Smashes could have been taken out of Bowser's appearances in games, so why does the Melee story-mode, only-under-certain-conditions final boss take the spot of the Koopa King's Final Smash? Some alternates that could have been used:

- Koopa Clown Car
- Help from his 7 children
- An armada of Mario enemies (Koopas, Goombas, etc.)

Don't get me wrong - I don't hate Giga Bowser, or anything like that. I just think that Bowser, a character with so many sources to draw ideas from, got cheated out of a Final Smash. Does anyone else feel this way?

...I don't think so...GIga Bowser was probably the best choise for a final smash.

Personally, I would have liked to see the clown car.

i like it, but my first thought of what his final smash would be him hopping into his clown car and dropping bobombs all over the stage

i think they went with the giga bowser idea simply because of his appearance compared to his more common cartoony appearance, they chose something that went with his whole thing about being a monster rather than him being cartoonish

yes i think it is a hell of allot better that he went gigga bowser, it lets us actually control his final smash instead of sitting back and watching like with mario and link, and you can't prove gigga was created soley to be used in that one game alone, hell this game is proof of that arguements obserdity. and i think it fits perfectly into character, why would the king of all koopas, an fing turtle that breaths fire, have other people do his dirty work, why would he even use gadgets. bowser is the type of person that would just beat the **** out of you with his bare hands, a true fighter. not someone who would pull out a knife or a gun to make the fight easy, and certainly not the person to have someone else do the job for him, especially in a head on confrontation. in fact i think these gadgets ruin his reputation as a ruthless king who when if he wants something, HE TAKES IT!!! he doesn't ask someone to take it for him unless he absolutely has too. no i think gigga bowser brings him back to his roots as a badass turtle monster who goes out and kidnapps a princess simply because he can

Yes, although the Koopa Clown car would be awesome, i prefer Giga Bowser.

Yes, because that makes the most sense in the world right there.
I agree with you for one part though, it'll be fun to actually control Giga Bowser, in stead of just watching the character do all of the work.

Yes, this probably does belong in another forum.

Who's to say other characters aren't going to have Final Smashes that have nothing to do with anything they've done in their own games. Practically all of the characters in Melee had at least one move that wasn't something they did in their games.

I wonder how this final smash will compare's to link's/pinka's/mario's, because unlike those that just merely do damage this one has potential to more damage, but of course with the flaw of attaining damage?

well pika's is similar in that you can control it, but remember that gigga bowser moves at the same speed as bowser, which is now faster than falco. so when you think about it, you're already dead

ClarkJables, do you just make stuff up? Have you forgotten about Bowser's 20+ years of having other people do his dirty work for him? Bowser has never once gotten up in anyone's face and actually stood up for himself in any of his game appearances. He has always had his goombas, koopa troopas, etc.

Also, since when does bowser move as fast as falco?

On topic, I think that this final smash is kind of lame. It feels like somebody didn't want to think of/program a real final smash so they just put in Giga Boozer.

I actually think is Final Smash is pretty neat..
But I had hope it would be a HUGE firebreath.

But Giga Bowser is pretty awsome, you can't deny.

Previous games, like paper mario have involved Bowser growing larger and more dangerous. Regardless, this isn't the Bowser topic, nor the final smash topic.

You know what? You're right, my mistake. I guess it was just the way that you cram'd all of your text into one huge paragraph, that made it impossible for me to read it clearly. It's easier to follow the lines if there's only a short amount of them.
