Am I playing wrong?

Hey guys, I know it's a weird question to ask but...am I playing wrong? To start it off i'm a button masher; although I do know what am doing and somtimes impress myself for doing somthing random that actually saves me from getting blasted off stage or somthing lucky in general like for example: One match I had with this zero suit samus I managed to land a bomb on her with megaman then she shielded then instantaneously got my forward smash and she blocked it. Then the bomb I previously landed on her also exploded but since she had her shield it blocked it but it also broke her shield and since she was at the ledge she just fell casually off stage. And I was like. "I'm badass..." but when I spectate other people playing they usually dont go in for the dive they like stall and play carefully I noticed and shield alot.

That's just means you might need to change the way you play. Habits die hard, so take your time improving.

If you're playing to win, just do what works. If you feel like you could be doing better, challenge yourself by seeking better opponents.

Upload a video and post it on the character boards. They will critique it.
But anyways, try to play intelligently, efficiently, and adapt to your opponent because that is always a correct way to play.
