Just started playing ultimate and realized quite early the lack of the ability to c stick nair. Anyone come up with an alternative method to nair while not losing aerial momentum?

Thats quite unfortunate. Took awhile to c stick nair in smash 4 but once you get it down, makes your air game so smooth. Its so hard to optimize shorthop nairs especially with how fast this game is lol.Quickly letting go of the control stick then pressing A might be the only option. I’ve been doing it manually my whole life.
How do you cstick nair in smash 4? My experience is with Melee, and Im a falcon main so short hop nair is a must for me. I do exactly what Orlando said above. I guess the only issue is that you do lose some momentum when you are required to nair.Thats quite unfortunate. You don't have to buy them, though.
Any diagonal direction after you jump. How do you cstick nair in smash 4? My experience is with Melee, and Im a falcon main so short hop nair is a must for me. I do exactly what Orlando said above. I guess the only issue is that you do lose some momentum when you are required to nair.
So the traditional forward, back, up, and down airs worked as intended, but if you moved the cstick diagonal at all, you would nair?Any diagonal direction after you jump.

You can jab this way too. Not saying that’s useful, just saying it’s something that happens. So the traditional forward, back, up, and down airs worked as intended, but if you moved the cstick diagonal at all, you would nair?
This is extremely situational, but I believe there was a really easy way to get multi jab ones as Yoshi by holding down on the control stick and hitting the C Stick in a diagonal direction. These jabs would chain in to themselves much longer than a regular jab combo. You can jab this way too. Not saying that’s useful, just saying it’s something that happens.
Maybe it’s useful, idk.
