So I was thinking about how Marth had his game remade and released in the west for the DS, and I got an idea:

There could be an easter egg where certain characters get alternate voices when you hold certain buttons before a match starts, much like how you could get alternate tracks on stages in Melee by doing the same thing.

Or you could just switch the voices manually in a menu or something.

Here are a few ideas for alternate voice clips:
---
Marth:
-Japanese voice by Hikaru Midorikawa. (original)
-English voice.

Pokemon Trainer:
-Pokemon have their anime voices. (original)
-Pokemon have their cries and sound effects straight from Pokemon Red/Green/Blue.

Meowth:
-Says "Nyrah!" like a generic Meowth in the anime. (original)
-Has the voice of Team Rocket's Meowth and is voiced by Carter Cathcart.

Birdo:
-Says its name in a distorted voice like in Double Dash. (original)
-Speaks English and is voiced by Jen Taylor, like in Super Mario Advance.

Bowser:
-Uses Godzilla-like grunts and roars. (original)
-Voiced by Scott Burns or Kenneth W. James.

Characters like Peach, Fox, and Falco could have their SSBM voice clips as alternates.

Feel free to post your ideas.

Interesting idea... though I know I personally hate some of the voice iterations of those characters. =P

Considering that Bowser and Donkey Kong are less realistic now, hopefully they'll get their cartoonish voices back.

Every game in this modern era should have native language selection (in this case, Japanese) in addition to the localized language for your region proper. Melee had it, and perhaps Brawl did not just perhaps out of space or development time.

I suspect Marth to at last have an English voice actor. Lots of good talent out there to match his character, and he has effectively made two appearances outside of Japan so it's about time.
