Apex 2012 was one of the largest Super Smash Bros. tournaments that served to pit players against each other from all over the world. Japan, France, Mexico, Canada, and others were seen competing against USA's finest to see who could claim the best in the world.

And now it's back.

Alex Strife recently announced the news that Apex 2013 will be up and running as of January 2013. It will be hosting tournaments for all arenas of Super Smash Bros. including Melee, Brawl, and 64.

Just like last year Apex will be the final tournament from a circuit series of regional tournaments to help determine accurate seeding for what will definitely be an intense bracket. More information on qualifiers can be seen in the Apex 2013 thread.

Visit the thread here for the rest of the information and get ready for the incoming hype. You can expect this event to be bigger and better than before. And if you missed your opportunity to attend an Apex now's your chance! No johns!

Will Japan continue its reign of terror in Brawl? Can Armada keep his title from Apex 2010's former champion Hungrybox? The competition will be intense as rivals battle their way for the chance to be crowned the new Apex champion.

For now, enjoy a Melee tournament set featuring Mango vs. Apex 2012's reigning champ: Armada!
