What is Air Mech?

Air Mech is a Free to Play Real Time Action Strategy game similar to DOTA or League of Legends that is being developed by Carbon Games.

Air Mech is available on Steam, PC, and Google Chrome. The game on Steam is not available for free yet, but you can still download the PC and Chrome versions without having to purchase anything. (As of now, PC version is the ideal choice as you can play with other PC users as well as Steam users. Chrome version can only play against other Chrome players.)

It features fast paced gameplay in 1v1,2v2, and 3v3 PVP environments, as well as against the AI. There is even a Survival mode for those people who like to defend against waves of enemies. You want to be a Lone Wolf? Then you can play Solo.

Wait a minute, you just said the game was not available on Steam for free just yet. What gives?

Right now, Air Mech is in Beta, with a release date of Fall 2012. You can go to the Steam Store and purchase the Air Mech Starter Pack or the Beta Bundle for Steam access. I also have two Steam access keys to give away, since I bought the Beta Bundle myself.

However, do not fret. You can still download the PC version for free, and still be able to play with your buddies on Steam. Once the game is released on Steam, you can link your Steam account with any other Air Mech account you may have so that you do not lose any of that hard earned progress. Plus, any Achievement you may have earned while playing the PC version can be redeemed once you link the two accounts together.

Actually, no. All items that you have to pay for are for cosmetic purposes only. You CAN purchase the Starter Pack or Beta Bundles to unlock things earlier, but everyone can use the in-game currency to unlock everything gameplay related.
