Smash 3DS Afraid the competetive scene will be 3DS only

the fact that half the world already owns a 3DS and for the Wii U to catch up it would take either a real Zelda game or years to make up for their poor advertising me feel ill.

The fact that the Wii U is selling poorly won't stop people from getting it for tournaments. That's just silly.

This isn't pokemon. The two versions will have significant enough differences to warrant buying both. Single screen multiplayer being the biggest reason.

Though the Wii U will likely be the preferred version for tounraments, because there will be no connection issues, a better control scheme, and a larger screen to play on. Sure there's going to be a scene for the 3DS, but saying it will ONLY be the 3DS isn't right. Not at all.

C-Stick. That is all.
Not saying that the 3DS won't be competitive, but the hardcore competitive players wouldn't just stay on a system that doesn't have the C-Stick. I suppose the Circle Pad Pro could work but that hasn't been confirmed yet.
And Wii U has Gamecube Adapter.

The 3DS will probably have its own scene, I think. But I don't believe it will be on the same level as the home console counterpart.

For one, this kind of thread technically belongs in the 3DS section and not really the Wii U. And there's a variety of threads regarding the 3DS scene already, so I've got to lock this. There's threads for competitive 3DS and the state in which it is in here in the 3DS Subforum (including whether it or the Wii U scene will dominate).

And another, both games will definitely have competitive scenes, I doubt that one will overtake another. No need to worry about that. ^_^
