Aerial Fortress Lag

I've noticed that sometimes when I use his Fortress for recovery and land, sometimes there is lag after and sometimes there isn't. Why? When there is lag, it's unbearable, it's so slow.

I've tried to test it and I'm pretty sure that it depends on the height that you land from your Fortress but if anyone has the real reason for this, please post.

Actually, I believe you're correct I believe the reason it does the get-up lag after high vertical moment. Going straight up and landing straight down gives you the whole "pick himself up after it". When you have more horizontal momentum you get the old school Bowser just gets out of shell.

I believe that's it - though not entirely sure, if you wish to test it and post results .
