Smash Journeyman
So I've finally gotten comfortable enough to the point where I can confidently pick up a secondary and I have chosen Chrom due to the fact that he is a pretty simple character to understand and use well, and he serves as a polar opposite gameplay wise to my main: Robin. (Plus I think having a Robin Chrom duo is kinda neat flavor wise). And so far, Chrom is turning out pretty well when I play patiently and focus on defense with him.
My issue comes when it's time to switch gears and turn to offense, because well.... Robin isn't exactly a character I would deem aggressive. I can approach just fine, but when it comes down to applying pressure, the thing Chrom is REALLY good at, I kinda don't know what to do and ether give my opponent too much space so they slip out, or I swing my sword way too recklessly and get punished as a result.
I feel this issue is more of a fundamentals issue than a Chrom issue, hence why I am posting here. I know this kinda pressure can be done, everytime I watch pro Chrom players it's like they have literally every one of their moves buffered every time they throw it out, I just don't know how to replicate that. Any advice?
