Advice for first time tournament

So I've never really hosted a tournament except like once for my club but that was like 20 people. So I was wondering what I need to do to run a successful one. I'm more concerned in the tournament being run well and everyone having fun but if I can make like 50 bucks or whatever thats pretty cool too!
I'd want the tournament to be for melee and have doubles and singles, so give me some advice please!
