Advertising?

I was just wondering what are some good places to advertise for tournaments? Outside of Smashboards and AIB that is. Does anyone put in advertisements in the paper? How do you attract local players? Anyone ever have difficultly with people not wanting to go to a tournament they have to pay for?

I don't know how to answer your other question, but I've found making up your own A4 posters and putting them up around Gaming LANs and Gaming stores is a good way to go about it.

Yea posters, others forums, schools, mainly colleges.

Yeah i would place flyers in gamestop and 3d games and that increased turnout, also the day of the tournament i got everyones number to call them for future tournaments
