Hey guys DiZZY here

So after some experimentation I've come across an amazing recovery, I call it PK Soar!

It is a combo of the Zap Jump, and angle PK Magnet and either the Snake Rope, PKT2, more PK fire, really whatever you want.

So here it goes, first you get hit off really far off, YIKES. So what do you do? PK SOAR!!!!

First Zap Jump

Then you continually use PK Magnet on an angle towards the stage (like down right or down left on the control stick)

These two components are the PK Soar combo recovery! The Zap Jump shoots you up while Magnet give you un-real floaty horizontal recovery! I really love this technique and really feel that it rivals MK and Pit!

Try it out! It Rocks!!! Sorry I can't post a video since I am not the technically savy.

Peace, DiZZY Sailor Lucas

Hmm... If only we could pull stuff of like this in 1.5second lag wifi, but I'm having trouble even Zapjumping in wifi. I don't know why.

you really can't expect to get many advanced techniques off in wifi since it has the lag. It totally sucks that PK Soar won't be that viable on wifi. However, it is awesome when your playing on the same wii as your opponents.

I don't know about you, but I am pretty sure that the vb slows your horizontal movement as well. (at least without having a second jump)

I've been using this for a while, and it does work nicely ^^

If you just spam Down+B you'll lose all horizontal momentum, but the trick is to use it when Lucas goes into the falling animation. You'll notice a small push forward in the air. (it's easier to hold diagonally down in the direction you want to go... but don't fast fall.)

Floatyness is generally a bad thing, and recovery is no exception. The better way to use the zap jump recovery is to do a zap jump directly to ropesnake tether. There's a reason that people like dr mario were really easy to edgeguard in melee.

Basically, the less time in the air, the better.

Oh, and Zap jump > PKT2 is a recovery from anywhere that isn' under a stage. You could go from the bottom of hyrule to either the right or left edge (whichever you're below) by zap jumping to PKT2.

I agree with the guy above me. This sounds like it would leave you very open to edge gaurding, especially projectiles that Lucas can't abosorb (Samus missiles and R.O.B's gyro come to mind...). This is probably a very situational and opponent based recovery method.

I'm not flaming you, but Lucas has better options more often than not. I rarely even find the need to zap jump by itself because PKT2 covers so much distance and is wicked easy to sweetspot.

This is also coming from someone who hasn't really tried this yet, maybe I'll use it and love it. But I'm pretty sure I can already hear what the Pit I usually play against will be thinking the second I start: "Freebie".

The point of the move is to bring you to a situation where you would be able to use a normal recovery technique where you other wise couldn't. It is to bring you close to the stage so that you can use the rope snake or PKT2
