Smash Ace
As seen in the second trailer, certain characters have obtained the ability to crawl. So does that mean new abilities can be given to certain characters as well, or even removal of abilities?
For example, we already have seen Pikachu and Snake crawl around. This makes sense cause of their athletic or animal abilities. I don't think a character as stout as Kirby will be crawling around just yet.
Another rare ability would be using the grab move on a wall. Such as Link, Y. Link, and Samus.
Now could it be possible for some new abilities to show up? I think wall climbing would be a great add to the mix. Some can wall jump already. But maybe we can make some of these characters who are lacking special skills the ability to climb. I can see D. K. climbing up and down a wall, and even the Ice Climbers would be able to do such a skill. Of course their grip would be time limited.
Another neat move would be the use of performing Up B twice in the air. Now for most characters this would be overkill. But for this move I can only see it really working with Luigi. He is unique (and odd) enough to actually pull of a double Up B.
Now if some abilities are added, I think a few removals would be good. Only the abilities that really don't make sense and kind of ruin the game play. Especially against computers.
Shield reflecting is a definite let down in melee. Nothing is more upsetting than Samus firing a full charge shot, only for it to be reflected. I know Smash isn't realistic, but its really stupid that a gorilla can reflect a laser beam. Remove this skill on all players, I say if you have a Cape, Reflector, or Counter, that's fine.
Secondly the ability to climb out of moves is pretty bad. Again, everyone has this movement, but really only the computer can pull it off. For any Bowser players out there, you know how painfull it is to not be able to use the Flames or Down Smash because a computer player can crawl out of it.
That's all I have for now. If anyone else has a neat idea throw it out there. And try to stay away from anything about removing the wavedash, if the controls are the same from Melee to Brawl its probably staying.
