I've been looking into the various adapters offered for GC to USB. The most prominent ones seem to be Mayflash and Raphnet. I hear Raphnet has less lag, but it's more expensive. It also only has one port. Meanwhile the Mayflash seems to have good reviews but it looks to be laggier, and lots of people have to tweak with the settings to get it closer to how a real GC controller works. But there's also conflicting reviews like this: https: // www . youtube . com/watch?v=4u4O9av-3LE&t=6m13s

If you have either adapter, please post about your experiences with it. Thanks.

People have said Raphnet are better quality, but it really doesn't matter much. I have the Mayflash dual port adapter and I highly recommend it. I have never noticed any input lag whatsoever and I am a pretty technical smasher. The price point is very appealing and paired with having two ports it makes this adapter far superior to the Raphnet. The only complaints I can come up with about it is that the controller does not 'stick' into the port like a gamecube but if your adapter is at rest this doesn't matter. I'm just saying if your adapter falls off the bed you'll probably have to plug your controller in it again. The other thing is that the cord length to your computer is pretty long and while this can be a good thing for many people I think the cord just gets in the way. But again both these complaints have nothing to do with the adapter's performance in game. Just make sure you don't download their drivers (they're crap, use the windows drivers that auto install on plug in) and make sure you set radius to 100 and deadzone of 5 on main stick and 15 on c stick in Dolphin's GCPad settings.

Someone on reddit said that these adapters have at most a 3milisecond delay. Basically either works well. I bought the mayflash cause it was very cheap on ebay. It works great for PM on Dolphin. I've yet to get a Wii U game that supports gamecube controller to test if mayflash works on that or if i'll need to get Nintendo's. Was hoping to test it b4 smash comes out to know in advance.
