Active Nintendo franchises not represented?

I can only think of four active Nintendo franchises not currently represented as playable characters in Brawl.

Excite
Pikmin
Duck Hunt
Chibi-Robo

When I originally did my roster, I had Excite Bike Racer as a playable chracter. This character is now an Assist Trophy. Duck Hunt (I am only considering it active because of the upcoming Wii game), if represented would most likley be minimal, either as a Trophy or Assist Trophy. But both of these series should be repeseted.

The only other two Nintendo franchises that I can think of that arent represented in Brawl are Pikimin and Chibi-Robo. Logically, this should point to Chibi-Robo and Captain Olimar as playable characters.

So that brings me to this question:

Can you think of any other active Nintendo franchises not represented? And how do you think they should be represented, if at all?

Umm, since when was Duck Hunt active? I mean I recall playing it, wow years and years ago. I would hardly call it active (unless of course there has been a duck hunt game that I'm unaware of).

I would say Olimar from Pikmin stands a great chance of appearing.

Like I just posted in the Isaac thread, Golden Sun is still active. Nintendo wants Camelot to make Golden Sun 3 and Camelot wants to make Golden Sun 3, so I assume that means there will be a Golden Sun 3.

Custom Robo.

With 5 games in the series (granted only 2 have been released internationally), the most recent being for the DS, I figure one of the Ray series Robos is due for Brawl inclusion.

Just my two cents.

Duck Hunt? How the **** to you represent Duck Hunt in Brawl? Even as an AT, how?

And Chibi-Robo is just...annoying. Who wants to fight as a robot who weilds a toothbrush?

Paper Mario - technically part of the Mario franchise, I consider it a subset worthy of being considered on its own.

Cooking Mama
Elite Beat Agents
Harvest Moon - not truly a Nintendo franchise, but an unrepresented franchise nonetheless.

Not sure of the status of some of those franchises, 1st party-wise, but they all stand a good chance.

Sorry to say, only Elite Beat Agents and Paper Mario first party Nintendo franchises. But I'm willing to overlook this transgression simply because you were cool enough to mention EBA :chuckle:

Advance/Famicon Wars. Some soldiers appeared as trophies, and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not. Hopefully good. Come on, Andy!

Also, is Stafy active? And does Project HAMMER count as active?

1080/Wave Race. Sure, none of the racers/snowboarders have fought before, but think of Captain Falcon. Plus, Ricky Winterborn's too awesome IMO.

1080 Snowboarding, Band Brothers, Brain Age, Chibi Robo, Custom Robo, Electroplankton, Golden Sun, Kururin, Magical Vacation/Starsign, Pikmin, Starfy, Trace Memory, and Wave Race are all (relatively) active Nintendo franchises that haven´t been represented yet. Nevertheless, old franchises should also be considered when thinking of these things. Still, this is how each of the above could appear:

- 1080 Snowboarding: Trophies of assorted boarders, Kensuke Kimachi Assist Trophy, Snowboard item.
- Band Brothers: Band Brothers Trophy, Barbara the Bat Assist Trophy.
- Brain Age: Dr. Lobe trophy, Dr. Kawashima Assist Trophy. Dr. Lobe might be playable, too.
- Chibi Robo: Chibi Robo trophy and Assist Trophy. Small chance of being playable.
- Custom Robo: Trophies of assorted robots, Ray Assist Trophy--maybe playable. Chibi Copter item if he isn´t playable.
- Electroplankton: Electroplankton trophy, possibly Asisst Trophy.
- Golden Sun: Trophies of several characters, a couple Assist Trophies and maybe Isaac/Felix playable. Djinni as items?
- Kururin: Kururin trophy and Assist Trophy.
- Magical Vacation/Starsign: Hero/Heroine trophy and/or Assist Trophy.
- Pikmin: Pikmin trophy, Captain Olimar has a good chance of being playable. Bunch of possible items, too.
- Starfy: Starfy franchise trophies/Assist Trophies, Starfy might be playable.
- Trace Memory: Trophy of main character.
- Wave Race: Trophies of racers, Ryota Hayami Assist Trophy.

The only really important ones that we could actually get playable characters are from Pikmin and Golden Sun.

I left out Stafy's series on purpose.

That´s not necessarily true. In terms of popularity, Advance Wars, Chibi-Robo and Custom Robo are pretty big as well. You don´t know who Sakurai might include, considering that Ice Climber was a single lackluster game that debuted ages ago.

All 4 games you listed only have 2 games each. Excitebike was only given a second game because Nintendo couldn't think of another name, Duck hunt is hardly active, even if it does have a Wii game coming up, Chibi robo was cool and all, but it's not fair to call it active. C'mon, give Sak a little credit.


Pikmin though, right on.

Omg, every one has forgotten Advance Wars (Andy) they've been going with nintendo for sometime, infact their kinda part of the Nintendo series which they been going for ages, if they get characters to represent Nintendo Wars it should be Andy and Sammi. Also Ajent J (EBA) would be good because alot of his moves would be like Sanji (from the horrid show One Piece) except groovier.
