For getting the codes posted here to work on a gamecube, can you just buy this action replay and a 3rd party memory card or do you need to buy this action replay+memory card in order to save the code for future use?

I have a wii, but the disk loader stopped working. I've heard that you need a disk loader in order to have action replay emulated on your wii.... I'd also want to have action replay be able to work on a gamecube anyways. Thanks for any help!

you need the older version of the Action Replay (the one coming with the mem) to add new codes (and save them).

However, you can softmod your wii and with game loader like Neogamma you can use cheat codes. (It's actually better because you won't need to convert the codes you linked (long story short, AR use crypted codes, while Dolphin or Wii cheating software using natural codes)

Will the first link I posted work for just being able to include the codes if I wanted to use 3-4 codes? I know that you need to use GCNcrypt to encrypt the codes which ends up making you have to input some really long lines of code, but the action replay memory card is like $60-$90 and the original action replay is about $40-$80.

My wii is modded and I have an external hd. It doesn't read disks anymore so can I still port action replay with Melee onto my wii?

Well, you don't need the AR memory card, any will do (use a 3rd party one just to be sure), however, you will need the older version of the Action Replay that let you add codes, the newer versions don't offer this option.

For AR, you will need to encrypt every code from your link with GCNcrypt.

With a soft modded wii, you will need a gct files that contain the codes you want to use (using the 12345678 ABCDEFGH form). I don't remember everything, but you will need Accio Hacks and a game loader (I use neogamma). I don't recall everything you need to do, but use this and click create .gct, add your codes and create the file. Then, you can simply look for a tutorial for Accio Hacks
