If you have played Gears of War or TF 2 you will know what achievements or accomplishments are. If you don't know, they are basically little awards you get for doing things in game. Who here think a achievement system should be implemented?

Without an interface like XBOX Live, achievements aren't really worth it. I mean, the whole point of them is to add to your gamerscore and show off in your gamertag.

Metroid Prime 3 had a sort of achievement system. It was nice, but pointless other than to help you unlock new picture galleries.

As far as Brawl is concerned, I'm pretty sure the slew of unlockables (characters, stages, music, trophies, stickers) will all be enough of a "system of accomplishments" to keep everyone busy.

You don't need xbox live to get achievements (well online ones you do). Some are like "Shoot down a helicopter in campaign." or "Beat the game on [insert difficulty here]" Though i agree there would be no point unless there was a scoreboard or something they go on.

Achievements are boring. Why would you want actual unlockables to be replaced with lines of text with arbitrary point values? I'll take stickers/trophies any day.

How about this?: we unlock stuff, then a letter is sent to the Wii Message board, telling you you have gotten wii points, and to implement them, you simply connet to Wifi
Unlock all characters, 500 Wii Points
Unlock all stages, 500 Wii Poins
Beat all event Matches on Hard mode, 1000 Wii Points
Collect all Boss Tropies, 500 Wii Points
Beat SSE on Very Hard Mode, 1000 points
Play 5000 vs Matches, 1000 points
Power Time: 400 hours, 500 Wii points

That adds up to 5000 Wii points, so its worth every Penny spent on the game =D

****, that would be brilliant! I do believe when VC was first revealed, many people thought that you should receive Wii Points along with actual games you bought.

*Laughs* No.

Nintendo giving you money to buy their classic games just by playing their games? In your dreams.
True, plus coding a gift of Wii Points into a game disc would be pretty easy to manipulate to get unlimited ponts. You could complete the challenge, get the points, spend them, delete your save file and start again.
