Smasboards suck
So I was looking at the pics, and it uses both the USB ports on the front of the Wii U. I was thinking of getting one by my issue is that my external hd is plugged in the front using both slots and then I have the 3rd port for my lan adapter. This leaves me with one usb slot to use. But the gamecube adapter appears to use 2.

Perhaps, like some other USB operated devices, the second input is optional. My keyboard actually has a divergence just like that, and it turns out the second one is just to make it glow fancy colors.
Another possibility is that (controller) ports 1/2 and 3/4 are on seperate (USB) ports. In the event of this, you would only need one of the two ports in order to effectively play Sm4sh online anyway (freeing the other port for the LAN adapter).

Ah. Thanks for that info. I'll see if my external HD needs to use both slots. If not, then I'll plug into the back.

You can use a USB hub to split ports up, USB is built that way.

This might not be the best place to ask, but is there a general consensus as to where to purchase Gamecube controllers? I don't want to get one that's too beat up.
