If you're okay with changing your controls I'd set or to jump (which ever one you don't use to shield). That way you don't have to move your fingers all over the place.

I exclusively use Y to jump, so I set X to special move. This way, from shield, all you need to do is hit up, then rake your thumb from Y to X. It's extremely easy.
