A way to disable buttons?

The one thing I always wanted from SSBB is a way to disable certain buttons in "Controller Configurations." Is there a way to hack this?

Example: I have a 6 year old and a 2 year old. They love Rayman Legends. In that game the controls are D-pad: Move, 1: Attack, 2: Jump. I want to do this in SSBB. The problem is, there is no disable on the configure. I want to disable the up button from doing anything but look up and attack up if Up+Attack; I don't want it to jump. I also want to disable A, B, A+B, 1+2, and - from doing anything.

Having these configurations would allow me to play with my kids and because there would be no Special button, keep them from spamming.

While there is no way of disabling buttons through the menu, you CAN turn off the jump feature on the control stick by turning off 'Tap Jump'. Additionally, more than one button can be the same action. You can choose to move Specials to a further-placed button, or have 4 jump buttons, or whatever the game will let you do.

I guess I forgot to say, we are only using the Wiimotes. They can't use the gamecube or nunchuk. They don't have a tap jump off switch for the Wiimote alone. I know there is no option for it, but is there a way to hack it to make it an option.

All I know is that the buttons can be programmed extensively in the Options menu, which should include the Wiimote. Whether it'll fit your requirements or not is up to you. Wish I could give you more.
