A very noobish question on PSAs

I found this Shadow PSA and I wanted to use it over lets say Sonic in one of the Brawl mods (Lets say P:M for now) I have a modded Wii if you ask. How would I go about adding it to one of the Brawl mods over Sonic ? Would I have to download a program to do so. I've already downloaded a ZIP file containing the PSA . I looked around and couldn't find a PSA tutorial . There were none for just adding them to a Brawl mod only for making them.

You rename the shadow psa to FitSonic.pac (if necessary), then you put it in the 'fighter' folder, then inside the 'sonic' folder.
