A trick I stumbled upon

As a lot of you already know, you can force the game to start using the name entry glitch, and if you have 4 of the same character on the same team the 4th player becomes a doppleganger or a pitch black version (because the game uses dark links color from the event match as another color modifier for the team). Now today my friend and I noticed that if you have 2 characters selected on the same team, and the close the one furthest to the left out when the match starts (in team battle 1v1) the character will be the lighter colored version of itself like it still had the other character in. Now I tried both of those together, I had 4 foxes on the same team, then closed players 1-3 and forced the match to start and I was the pitch black fox all by myself on the stage =) fun little way to practice tech skill =)

Oh I am, fox is just more fun to watch humping platforms and stuff.

Sounds sick, thanks. Just to make sure I got it all:

1. Select the same character for all 4 ports.
2. Put all 4 ports on the same team.
3. Close the profiles for all of the ports other than your own (1 is regular, 2 is light, 3 is dark, 4 is shadow).
4. Use the Name Entry Glitch to start the match.
