Greetings, friends!
Here, I got you some music to play while reading this thread!
In recent times I have been pondering the state-induced monopoly and the effects of such, which is ultimately what all state intervention in an economy creates. It has almost nothing to do with what I ask next, to add a second Social thread to these Super Smash Brother's 4 boards.
A little bit ago I made the remark that things were going too fast, and I couldn't be bothered to try and keep up with all the posts there. Ultimately I thought, what if there was a secondary outlet for social discussion of all kind?
By dividing the flow of nonsense and internet hostility and the trolling and the like that is only to increase greatly in volume as the appointed time approaches, anonymity would be further cast off for regular members, strengthening our community due to further familiarity and amicability. It would allow our members to keep up back and forth and personal conversations more easily.
As there would be two social threads, there would also be the potential of two factions, something I'd rather like. Some people will more naturally go to one thread than the other, and that's perfectly fine, there lies the potential for more, better thought, as well a more unique atmospheric dichotomy. Certain people would be too lazy or invested in one thread to switch over, but one would naturally retain dominance. Other people would feel less intimidated by certain people in other threads. The Social no-life freaks, further, would only benefit, they would have access to a greater volume of posts, but there would also be a choice they could more easily make to not dedicate themselves too heavily. All these things would take time to show up, but a massive event is rapidly approaching, and I feel that it would be of great utility to our social structure to have two Social threads. It wouldn't even need to be closed down, ever, really, people would simply just stop posting in one if ever our population dwindles again, and unify in the other, and honestly it would require less maintenance.
No, of course I'm not saying it's required, but it would be a nice improvement methinks.
Anyone else? Mods? What do you think?
