Tis the season to smash! Especially since it's so freezing outside! Thank goodness we live in St. George, though, where it doesn't snow. Ever. Which is why if you're from Salt Lake, or any other place that snows, you should totally come.

Unsure of cost yet, but it'll most likely be free.

Tournament Format:
Double Elimination Bracket
4 stock, 8min
Best 2 of 3
BYOC (Bring Your Own Controller)

Additional Rules:

Knock-out: Before the match set, each player may choose one stage to knock-out for the entire set.
Advanced Slob Picks: First match stage will be random. Loser chooses the next stage, then the winner chooses character, then the loser chooses character.
Items: OFF
Double Blind Pick: Both players have the option to secretly choose their character.
Stages:

Green=Neutral
Yellow=Counterpick
Red=Bad
Top color=Singles, Bottom=Teams
Illegal conduct: Any use of glitches (ex. IC's freeze glitch), prolonged stall tactics (ex. Peach wall-bomb used to stall), and functional controller modifications (ex. L/R trigger modifications) are banned. Participating in any of these practices, along with any improper behavioral conduct (ex. physically distracting an opponent) will drop you from the tournament. Wobbling is allowed.

I know I promised to try to come to this, but I can't take this Saturday off. It's too close to Christmas. On the other hand, I can probably make a tournament on specific weekends in January or possibly the last weekend of December.

It looks I'll have to pick up the slack if I'm going to replace devin's coveted number four spot. I will be there, and I'll even try to convince the elusive Jake Pederson, yoshi and mario afficiando to come as well.

So I have followed my destiny... and arrived at this page. I have similar problems to Dai-A....(no ride) If someone drives down there I'd be happy to go with them, but I'm not driving... so I'm willing to be a body in a car, but I'm not gonna be the driver. Although housing is nice

So I may be attending this tourney, depending on if 4 little emo kids can convince their mom or not haha So I think there should be atleast a $5 entry fee to make the trip worth something and or make sure everybody plays at their best not wanting to lose money, I like the competition better that way. Cuz if it's free some might just sandbag or what not ya know...
