A Separate Board Should Be Made On This Site...

I might be alone on this, but I for one don't want to be spoiled by Japan getting the game first. I think it would be best if another board was added on this site, where info from Japan is not allowed to be posted, only from Dojo. I do not want to know everything about the game before it even comes to America. Does anyone else feel this way?

Seeing as it'd be impossible to stop everyone from posting spoilers, your best bet would be to just avoid the site for a while.

First of all thats impossible because either way people from America are going to find out spoils and post them everywhere. Second of all, who cares! The only thing that I would kill someone for spoiling is the SSE story. I really wanna know what characters made the cut more then anything.

Would you believe that some people out there are crazy enough to want to find out things on their own?! It's crazy, I know.

Seriously though, I will be avoiding the uber-spoilers as well. But I highly didtrust the responsibility of the general public here, so I'll just avoid the place altogether. I'd suggest you do too.

It really IS an impractical request, though. The majority of members like all the information that is coming in. Someone would definitely break into that extra room and post spoilers everywhere. The only solution is to go start your own forum. Otherwise, you really have to just leave. Being opposed to spoilers is a self-inflicted restriction.

Dude, brawl is going to be so big that your gonna have to lock yourself in your room with earmuffs and a shotgun to prevent spoils. But yea its not that peopel arent responisble, its just that they wanna share there thoughts with everyone else.

There is a spot just for DOJO updates. It's called the DOJO Updates Forum, and it's at the top of this Forum itself. I can't guarantee that no one will spoil anything for you, so it's best that you just avoid the site, because it's all anyone will be talking about.

Yea. I hope nobody starts making thread titles like "MARIO TURNS EVIL IN THE END!!, All characters unite to DEFEAT HIM!!" o.O or "Luigi is the Ancient Minister!!!!"

I was going to stop myself from looking at the roster but thats impossible for me now XD Only if it ends up being spoiled before the Japanese release. If it doesn't, I'm staying off the internets till Feb.10 :O Cept the DOJO!!

You could just bookmark the Dojo updates area and shun the rest of the boards. You'll have to do that anyway if they make a separate board for non-spoilers. I don't go in there personally so I'm not sure how many spoilers make their way in there, but as Tank said you should probably just avoid SWF for the next 2 months.

We've thought about a spoilers board in the past, but as others have pointed out, there's no way to prevent people from mentioning spoilers, either intentionally or inadvertently. Even if we were committed to removing spoilers from the room (which we're not, because it would take way too much of our resources to monitor), nothing would prevent you from seeing a spoiler just a few minutes after someone posts it.

As others have suggested, if you really want to avoid spoilers, I'd suggest avoiding message boards as a rule.
