Smash 3DS A question about unlocking characters...

Can anyone tell me if we can unlock characters in group mode? I mean in VS wireless battles against someone, not only againts the CPU...

Yep, pretty sure you can.

Yeah, though I think it may be like wi-fi where it only logs the matches and the first matches you do in CPU VS. Mode you will be promted with the character.

It seems like it'd take less time to quickly run through story mode to get the unlockables. (Characters can be unlocked through story mode, right?)

Group mode counts toward the VS matches to unlock the characters, but the Challenger Aproaching fight will only occur if you are at a single player mode (so just 1 stock suicide in a single match).
