So I've noticed that Zamus' Dair has painful lag upon hitting the ground, and can be punished if it doesn't hit. But it is pretty strong, and while playing around, I've found a way to use dair in 1 on 1's without being punished.
When an opponent is at mid-high damage where F-B doesn't KO them but it still hits high enough to get them around the top of the screen, you can double jump and Up-B them. At that damage and height it won't spike them hard enough to hit the ground, but puts them right in the path of your Dair.
What adds to this move even more is that you'll usually reach the ground before they do and will either be able to follow up with something, or at least not get punished in the lag of your dair.
Even further than that, if you miss the Up-B or they dodge it, you can still use dair to get down quick and either try again or go after them with whatever else you wish to use. Same deal if Dair misses or is dodged, you get down before them and can go after them with Up-B or Upsmash.
