Kage Me
Smash Ace
This is more of a "rate my idea" than a serious suggestion, but it's something I've considered doing when (or rather, if) hosting a tournament of my own.
For the first match:
1) Four neutral stages are turned to ON in the Random Select (BF, FD, YI and SV).
2) Double blind character picks are mandatory, using a sheet of paper.
3) Both players also write down which of the neutrals they want banned along with their character. Both can only write down one.
4) The stages written down are turned to OFF, meaning there's two or three stages left on the random select.
5) Players select their characters, according to what they wrote down.
6) Stage is randomly selected.
7) Subsequent matches are done as usual.
This ensures that the worst neutral for a person's character is banned, or the worst neutral for that players (I personally hate FD), while still working with the four truly neutral stages. It's easily done, too.
So what do you guys think?
