I was thinking, if Brawl is going to be more balanced, where every character can potentially be played at a high level, why not play every character? Thus, the idea for a new main was born!

Anyone else with me? Anyone else going to main Random? :chuckle:

[Edit] I figured this was more appropriate in the character discussion section, if it's not, oh well.

Hell no, with the roster being potentially large, I don't think I would.

Seriously, knowing sweetspots, applications, knock back, possibly damage percentage, etc. For the majority of EVERY character's moves?

Sorry, but you need to reconsider what having a Main means. You know the character in and out, it's not just picking a character and winning with him/her.

R.M.B. were else?
if the roster size is 45+ then no. I can main up to about 5 characters at max(for optimal skills) and just wont take the time of mastering all 45+ of them. if the roster size was like35-40 I might give it a shot(but wont be as good as my top 5 inevitably), other wise, no.

It's possible to main every character. You just have to have no life and tons of caffeine, and a good memory.

Only by knowing every characters strengths and weaknesses can you become a champion...

Rats, I only have tons of caffeine.

Oh well. Lucas main FTW. There's a few others that interest me and might main for variety, but I have to test them out... I'd limit myself to 5 too I guess, like error_alt_delete. But probably I'd end up with 3 for a while... hmm, decisions, decisions...

Hahah, though if you do main everyone you know every single characters ins and outs and can counter them by using whomever.

You may be superly awesome but that... is going to take what was said before "You just have to have no life and tons of caffeine, and a good memory."

Too bad I only have half of that.

Well, I have no life, a memory that can challenge an elephant, and I'm a complete night hawk. No caffeine needed :D I'm also naturally gifted at games and I excel in everything I do. Looks like I'm maining Random for sure! It'll be fun to "counter-pick" people.

"Stop doing that!"
"What? I'm just repicking my character to lose nervousness."
:D

...I did that in Melee after awhile...and with that realized the potential of some characters I had originally missed like Ice Climbers and Yoshi...

For the last couple of months in Melee I have chosen random characters because my friends and family aren't really that good, so it became a challenge to beat them with characters I rarely use. Eventually I became pretty good with most of them (not win tournament level good, just good within my circle of friends)
