Firstly, ALttP does not utilize 'textures', rather is is entirely sprite based. What defines a 'texture' is a bitmap (made of pixels, no less) that is applied to a three-dimensionally rendered polygon (or mesh of polygons) to render an object in a defined space. I used this extensive description because a flat plane may not be considered a model, in comparison to say: Link's model from the 3D games, even though it is still a 3D object.
