So, I've been trying to get my Brawl to the point where I have textures and CSP's to go with them, so I can tell what texture I'll have when I select the character. I understand how to use CUPASH and how to make the image correct etc. etc.
What I don't know how to do is put the .Brres into the correct spot to get the portraits on the Character Select Screen to be the ones I've done. So far I've managed to accidentally put them in the victory screen, so that seems to work fine, but I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to getting the image to replace the character profiles. Anyone able to help me?
On the subject of textures, I can't seem to get any skin I do to have the proper final smash eyes. Does anyone know the procedure for it? Unlike most people, I use Paint.Net to edit skins, and no matter what I do with the final smash eyes, they come out wrong. I'll use Kirby as an example.
If I edit a Kirby skin, there's just a yellow eye with Paint.Net's transparency all around it. When I pack it back up, everything goes smoothly until I actually play the game, and break open a smash ball. I keep getting weird white or pink or other odd colors appearing in the square where the transparency is supposed to be. Is it just an issue with me using Paint.Net? I suppose it wouldn't be too much of a hassle to get GIMP, but I'd like to know if I can stick with Paint.Net.
Thank you!
