Are there any optimal ways to control it, especially for recovering near a wall? If you whiff PKT1 while falling, what's your best course of action? How well can you control your angle?

Not sure if this should've gone in the social thread or not.

I'm afraid to say that there's really nothing you can do if you whiff it. In the air, Lucas will drop while the PK Thunder is out and he slowly gains speed as he falls. Eventually he'll fall so fast that even the PK Thunder can't catch up with him.
Lesson learned?
Don't miss. :p

With enough practice you can recover with it without even being able to see the thunder ball (Nakat demonstrates this in his Lucas video when he shows that you can recover from the blast zone). It's not hard to use with a little bit if practice, you just have to make sure you are far enough away from the stage so that you don't have to worry about hitting the stage with your thunder ball or getting interrupted.

In regards to utilizing PK Thunder offensively - if you want to edgeguard with it, after you send it out offstage you can guide it back directly on top of Lucas to negate the endlag you'd get from the PK Thunder ending regularly. You'll be forced onto the ground for a techroll situation, but it gives you much more time to escape/continue pressuring as opposed to the normal endlag.
