A Disc Error? Subspace Emissary

Hello all. I just got my copy of Brawl in the mail, however, when I go to play Subspace Emissary, right after the first fight with Mario and Kirby, the scene begins to skip and ultimately, after Pit's name is shown and the screen goes black, I'm left with some sort of error.

The screen is green, with lots of Japanese characters (obviously), with the word OFF written about halfway through. Would anyone happen to know what that is?

Do you have a Wiikey?

the message is probably saying something like:

An disc read error has occurred. Turn your console OFF and check your manual for further instructions

Wiikey is having trouble with *japanese* Brawl on US Wii-- I'm surprised it's even starting.

EDIT: The short word for Japanese is censored? XD

Actually, I don't, but I just noticed that this does not happen when I do not use my wavebird. Do you think the wavebird could be screwing it up?

So... you have a japanese Wii?

I don't think the wavebird would make a bit of difference. Probably coincidence unless you've tried it multiple times.

Hmmm, I tested it again. I changed the channel this time, to channel 6. The wavebird did not freeze things. Before it was on channel 1. Do you think it could have been interfering with something in the wii?

My Wii did that with three America games. I had to send it to Nintendo for repairs. Sounds like a hardware problem.
