ok, so i just got done reading this thread http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=256213
i think that the approach that you guys were taking was wrong, rather than editing the game, we should write a server script and launch the script on a dedicated server, then set up the connections so that the server can be accessed from the outside internet. then, you would just reroute your wii's internet settings (im looking at you, DNS) and tell it to connect to this dedicated server instead of the regular wifi servers.
and if you dont think this will work, google a program called sendpkm, it does something similar to this that allows you to send custom pokemon from your pc to a legit retail copy of any of the 4th gen pokemon games. and it can be used either on local intranet OR a modified script can be used for outside internet traffic.
thats my approach to it, it seems more logical than having to edit an iso, seeing as it is rather simple to edit wifi settings
please et me know if this is a good idea and approach to the wifi problem
